You will have the opportunity to work together with global colleagues on matters, projects, day-to-day work, or defining and implementing global strategy. You might also have an opportunity to work overseas, so we do what we can to provide temporary secondments and permanent relocations to one of our offices.

At Ashurst we take seriously our responsibility to ensure that everyone has access to legal advice and representation regardless of means. As a law firm, the most effective contribution we can make is to use our knowledge and expertise to assist people and community organisations through the provision of legal services.

Through our pro bono work we can support a person's human rights. We contribute to the not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises that provide support and dignity to people in need. We can bring about positive change for people who are disadvantaged.

We work closely with community-based legal and charitable organisations to understand the needs of our clients and to identify clients who are most likely to benefit from our services.

Pro bono at Ashurst is considered a stand-alone legal practice. This practice works closely with, and along-side, the firm's Social Impact programme. Pro bono is grounded in the ethics of professional responsibility and Ashurst's pro bono practice allows our lawyers to fulfil this obligation and give back to the community.

Ashurst is committed to creating a global pro bono practice and aims to do this by developing local pro bono programmes in each office in Ashurst's network and by developing cross-border pro bono projects which enable Ashurst's offices to work together to tackle global and regional social justice issues. We also set annual pro-bono targets for all lawyers globally, from partners to trainees, to help foster this commitment.

Through formal and self-driven learning options, in both face-to-face and virtual settings, you will be encouraged and empowered to build on your existing knowledge and experience. Our award winning Ashurst Academy programme provides a range of courses, tailored for each stage of your career, that focus on developing your technical, commercial and soft skills to assist you in enhancing your capability and/or becoming a leader.

You will also have access to on the job training and financial study support, as approved by your manager, to assist you in further developing your technical and commercial skills with external qualifications.
