David specialises in helping clients to navigate the digital economy, with a focus on information technology, telecommunications, digital platforms, data, privacy and cyber security.
David negotiates and advises on a range of technology transactions, including cloud, IoT, IT outsourcing, software and other procurement requirements. David's experience extends to helping clients with implementing and procuring cutting-edge and novel technology solutions, including IoT (such as connected vehicles) and AI.
David has worked closely with many organisations to ensure their compliance with domestic and international privacy and data regimes. David's experience has included helping clients to implement changes to their business practices to respond to changes in data and privacy requirements, such as mandatory data breach reporting, the GDPR and the consumer data right.
David's has clients across a number of industries, including AGL, KDDI Corporation, ANZ, and EnergyAustralia. David has extensive experience advising clients both as external counsel and in-house as a secondee, providing him with a great understanding of what his clients need.
