Kalpana is a Co-Head of Ashurst's India Practice and based in London office. She is a dual qualified Solicitor registered with the Bombay Incorporated Law Society and the Law Society of England & Wales.
Kalpana specialises in cross-border joint ventures and M&As, private acquisitions and disposals, commercial contracts, and corporate governance laws and offers practical solutions to clients on doing business in India. She is experienced in leading diverse teams in dynamic environments while achieving success in competitive markets. Kalpana's practice has always been broad-based and she regularly advises multinational companies on their investments/projects in India and has been a strategic advisor to global clientele from a range of jurisdictions including the US, UK, Japan, Canada, China, Singapore, and Australia.
Kalpana is also a well-recognised expert in India on Corporate Governance principles. She has advised senior board members, executive and non-executive directors, and promoters on board effectiveness, particularly around the issues of corporate governance, leadership, organisational structures, and decision-making.
