Miriam D'Souza is a partner in our international projects group practice
Miriam has advised on a wide range of major projects in the infrastructure, mining, waste and water sectors. Miriam advises clients on strategic issues, project delivery and implementation and has a depth of experience acting for both the private sector and government.
The major projects which Miriam has advised on include:
- the development of the Esperance Power Project, a combined wind, solar and diesel power solution to power the town of Esperance;
- the Kwinana Waste to Energy project, advising the Rivers Regional Council
- The Fiona Stanley Hospital project, the Perth Children's Hospital project, the development of the Old Treasury Building site, the development of Elizabeth Quay and the redevelopment of the Perth Museum for the WA State government;
- the South Flank project, Jimblebar expansion project, and Rapid Growth Projects 4-7 for BHP Billiton; and
- The development of the Kwinana Waste to Energy facility for the Rivers Regional Council.
Miriam has been an active member of the WA Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) since its inception and is currently a member of the board of NAWIC. Miriam has been voted by peers as one of Australia's best lawyers in Government Practice and Construction and Infrastructure in Best Lawyers Australia.
