Nicholas is a senior associate in our finance and structured products practice.
Nicholas presently focuses his practice on corporate and securities law matters, representing issuers and underwriters in public and private securities transactions. Nicholas has advised numerous global investment banking clients on the issuance of debt and equity securities, with an emphasis on structured products (including notes, certificates, and warrants).
Prior to joining Ashurst, Nicholas was an associate at another prominent international law firm where he litigated a range of commercial disputes and represented individual and corporate clients in white-collar criminal matters, government investigations, and enforcement actions in the United States.
Nicholas attended Brooklyn Law School while working full time for another white-shoe law firm as a subject-matter expert and strategic adviser on electronic discovery matters. While a law student, Nicholas was awarded the “CALI Award” for excellence in legal writing and appellate advocacy (2012) and was an award-winning member of the appellate division of Brooklyn Law School’s Moot Court Honor Society. Nicholas was a semi-finalist in Howard University’s Bryant-Moore Invitational moot court competition where he was also recognized for writing the best appellate brief (2014). During the Fall 2013 semester, Nicholas served as research assistant to the late Professor Neil P. Cohen.
Nicholas received his undergraduate degree with honors from Tulane University, where he was the recipient of the Roy Paul Rordam Scholarship for superior academic performance.
Nicholas is licensed to practice in New York. He is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Italian.
