Ashurst advises lenders on debt refinancing of Archmore Emerald Italy

Global law firm Ashurst has advised Intesa Sanpaolo and UniCredit, as lenders, on the refinancing and corporate rationalisation of an operational renewables portfolio, controlled by Archmore Emerald Italy S.r.l., and managed by UBS Asset Management. Econergy acted as asset manager on the transaction, which completed on 2 March 2022.
The transaction follows UBS's recent entry into the Italian renewables market and allows the group to reorganise its corporate structure and optimise the terms and conditions of project finance loans, thus laying the basis for further growth.
The Ashurst team that advised Intesa Sanpaolo and Unicredit, was led by partner Carloandrea Meacci supported by associates Paolo Gallarà, Fabrizio Bergo and Andrea Enni.
