Ashurst enhances global knowledge offering with senior Government Legal Department hire

    Global law firm Ashurst has appointed highly regarded knowledge, learning and innovation expert Ruth Ward as its Global Director of Knowledge and Expertise, as it looks to further transform its client service delivery.

    With over 20 years' experience in streamlining and transforming the way legal services are delivered, Ruth will lead the firm's global knowledge and expertise offering. She will have a particular focus on enhancing the delivery of quality expertise across the firm's practices and regions, as well as embedding digital capabilities to enrich the client offering.

    Ruth joins from the Government Legal Department, where she successfully built a diverse and consistently high-performing Knowledge & Innovation Group and established new models for the Knowledge Development Lawyer role. Prior to this, Ruth was at Allen & Overy, where she was responsible for managing a global portfolio of knowledge, legaltech and innovation teams and projects.
